40% of Nigerians lack access to basic health amenities, such as clean water, sanitation facilities, and healthcare services.

In Nigeria, a staggering 40% of the population faces a critical challenge: the absence of basic health amenities. This means millions of Nigerians lack access to essentials like clean water, proper sanitation facilities, and vital healthcare services. The repercussions of this reality are profound, affecting both individual well-being and broader public health outcomes. Addressing this issue is paramount to ensuring a healthier, more prosperous future for all Nigerians.

NACO's Health Initiatives

access to quality healthcare for vulnerable Nigerians is a cornerstone of our mission at the Nigeria AIDS Counselling Organization (NACO). Here’s how we’re making a difference:

Mobile Clinics

NACO's TB care initiative: Saving lives, providing treatment, and fostering hope in the fight against tuberculosis.

Health Education Workshops:

We conduct health education workshops in schools, covering topics such as sexual health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and general well-being. By equipping students with knowledge and resources, we empower them to make informed decisions about their health and seek appropriate care when necessary.

Counselling Services:

NACO's Adolescent Programming Initiative has empowered youth, shaped futures, and fostered healthy communities through targeted support and resources.

HIV Testing and Counseling:

NACO offers voluntary testing and counseling services to encourage early detection and behavior change.

Antiretroviral Treatment (ART):

NACO ensures access to ART for HIV-positive individuals, reducing viral load and transmission risk.
